Getting Here

Wings Wildlife Park is located at 137 Winduss Road, Gunns Plains.

Like most regional areas in Tasmania, there is no public transport available. The quickest and easiest way to get to Wings Wildlife Park is by car. The Park is located 30 minutes from Ulverstone.

Free parking is available at the Park directly opposite reception.

Coming by Car

From Ulverstone

The Park is located just 30 minutes from Ulverstone and is clearly signposted right through from the Bass Highway. Take the B17 exit towards Ulverstone/Gunns Plains/Leven Canyon and continue along the B17 following the signs to Wings Wildlife Park/Gunns Plains.

From Burnie and the North West

The Park is located 45 minutes from Burnie and an hour from the Burnie Airport. Follow the Bass Highway east. At the second roundabout out of Burnie, take the second exit towards Sulphur Creek and then follow the signs to Gunns Plains. In 1.9 km turn right onto Creamery Road. In 3.6 km turn right onto Pine Rd/B17 and continue along the B17 following the signs to Wings Wildlife Park/Gunns Plains.

From Devonport and the East

The Park is located 45 minutes from Devonport, the Spirit of Tasmania and the Devonport Airport. Follow the Bass Highway west towards Ulverstone. The Park is located just 30 minutes from Ulverstone and is clearly signposted right through from the Bass Highway. Take the B17 exit towards Ulverstone/Gunns Plains/Leven Canyon and continue along the B17 following the signs to Wings Wildlife Park/Gunns Plains.

From Cradle Mountain and the Western Wilderness

The Park is located under 90 minutes from Cradle Mountain. Follow Cradle Mountain Road/C132 north-east towards Wilmot. As you leave Wilmot, take a left on Back Road/C133 towards Leven Canyon. Follow all signs to Leven Canyon along C133 and B15. After turning onto B15, in 2.5 km turn right onto C124 towards Central Castra. In 5.7 km turn left onto C126 towards Preston. At the end of C126 turn left on C125 towards Gunns Plains. In 1.5 km turn right onto C127 following the signs to Wings Wildlife Park.

Coming by Cruise Ship

A number of tour companies provide half-day tours for cruise ship passengers with buses to Wings. Please confirm with your shore excursion company.
