Central Coast business buzzing after awards night | The Advocate

Wings Wildlife Park won this year’s outstanding tourism award. The park’s Gena Cantwell said she was humbled by the win.

“We were very surprised with the win, everyone felt proud. It was an emotional moment to know the community supports and backs us. It meant a lot to us that they value what we have here,” Mrs Cantwell said.

She thinks the business earned the award based on the experiences they offer.

“We have a strong focus on customer service and make everyone's visit feel personal for them. We like to create the opportunity for them to get an amazing photo and make good memories,” Mrs Cantwell said.

Mrs Cantwell said she had notice a growth in tourism within the region and that it was making for a promising future.

“We will continue to grow but quality is more important than quantity. Over time we will get some new animals and wildlife in,” she said.
