Guided Tours

As well as standard entry we have other options for visiting the park including:

  • Guided tours for groups. This is suitable for school groups or other large groups. You will be accompanied by a guide who provides an interactive talk on the animals. It includes devil feeding, entry into the koala enclosure, handfeeding the kangaroos and fish, and seeing any juvenile wildlife that we may be rearing at the time. All feed is provided along the way.
  • Personalised guided tours. An interactive talk and hands-on experience with wildlife, under supervision, with a guide. Includes your own personal devil-feeding, personal entry into the koala enclosure, hand feed the kangaroos. See juvenile wildlife that we may be rearing at the time, as well as younger wildlife that is kept off display from normal public viewing. Patting of echidnas, blue tongue lizard and children’s python, rabbits and guinea pigs. Get up close and personal with monkeys. This more informative tour gives a closer look at Tasmanian wildlife.
  • Nocturnal tours during the winter months. We have nocturnal animals that sleep during the day and become active at night. This tour includes an interactive, hands-on, exciting experience. Finish the night off with a muffin and hot drink by the fire.

Large Tour Operators

Wings Wildlife Park is one of the few nature based attractions in Tasmania to be able to cater for large groups over 500 people.  The park has ample parking for a large number of cars and coaches. Transport for large groups may be provided. The Wildlife Park has a large number of guides available to personalise a large tour. This makes Wings Wildlife Park well suited for a cruise ship excursion and coach tours or a recreational addition to large functions. Many cruise ship visitors say Wings Wildlife Park is a highlight of their trip, and have included video clips on Youtube.
